Further Performance is looking for a motivated and experienced maintenance Technician. We are a small business with high volume and technicians are at the core of what we do. Aptitude in diagnostics, dealership experience, AC/ASE, and factory certifications are a major plus.

  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles
  • Experience with brakes and hydraulics, engine internals and peripherals, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel, ignition, electrical, suspension, HVAC, computer systems, tires, and three-piece wheels.
  • Explain, write, and communicate technical diagnoses and needed repairs to service writer, manager, and/or customers.
  • Keep managers aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
  • Learn new information and techniques in order to stay on top of rapidly changing automotive technology.
  • Maintain an organized and safe work environment.
  • Be efficient, energetic, and careful. We love that Midwest work ethic!
  • Able to work in a busy team environment and be able to follow instructions and ask questions.
  • Have at least 3 years experience in automotive repair
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Able to lift at least 60 lbs
  • Able to work Mon-Fri with varying hours, some weekends

FULL-TIME SERVICE ADVISOR

European Automotive Shop specializing in maintenance, repair, performance, and restoration seeks a responsible service advisor with management skills.

Responsibilities Overview:

  • As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for initiating automotive services and repairs by determining client concerns and service requests, developing estimates, writing repair orders and project proposals, order parts, managing the flow of information from the front office to shop, managing some day-to-day operations. This is a position of responsibility within a small business setting.
  • Serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician, ensuring the customer’s needs are understood by the technician and the needed/recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.
  • Help manage the front office, including workflow, customer interactions, and reception staff in coordination with the business owner and shop manager.
  • Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor, including calculating and taking customer payment.
  • Help manage parts, maintaining customer records, parts ordering, and inventory.
  • Help manage phone calls, text messages, emails, social media messages.
  • Maintain records and keep a tidy workspace.
  • Keep customers informed of completion times and service expenses.
  • Coordinate with sub-contractors such as interior shops, body shops, etc.
  • Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection.
  • Prepare repair orders, obtain approval signatures, and enter information into the service database system.

  • Prior experience as an automotive technician a plus
  • Prior experience with technical communication a plus

  • Acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift up to 60lbs, work in inclement weather, if needed
